It’s impossible to express my feelings while writing this testimonial. Really, time goes by faster than you imagine! Five years ago, I was also a student, searching for a perfect class for physical chemistry in Kolkata until I get a blessing from the Almighty in the form of a person, who is not only a perfect guide but also a human being with the power to motivate anyone.
He is a person who can inspire hope, ignite the imagination and instill a love of learning. By now I am sure all of you can guess the name of the person, yes, he is none other than our beloved Abbhijit Sir, who needs no introduction. I was really lucky to be a part of his class for a period of three years. The best thing about his teaching is that he can explain any difficult part of physical chemistry in a very simple manner. The knowledge in physical chemistry, which I gained during those three years helped me a lot to perform in the B.Sc. examinations of the University of Calcutta as well as to prepare for different M.Sc. entrance examinations. Not only that, the study materials, as well as the class notes, are still my first choice while preparing for any competitive examinations. During my M.Sc. studies at IIT Bhubaneswar, I attended so many lectures by different distinguished faculty members but I don’t have any hesitations to say that the lectures of Abbhijit Sir was something special and beyond explanation.
Apart from being an excellent teacher, Abbhijit Sir is an inspiration to me and many others. The motivational talks given by Sir during the classes really helped me a lot to encounter with the stress. Five minutes of conversation with Sir was sufficient to regain the faith in my abilities and to start the work with a new enthusiasm. Till now I remember the precious words of Sir – ‘Not every student is good in study. Some are good, some are average. But every one of you should become a good human being, that’s most important than anything.’
